Wrap-Around Care

At Richard Atkins we offer a range of extended day solutions to provide support to busy parents and additional enrichment opportunities for our pupils. The Play Professionals will be providing After School Club, and Breakfast Club at Richard Atkins School from January 2025.

  • Our online booking system is easy to use, and we have online tutorials to help. Bookings can be made 24 hours a day at https://playp.org.uk/.
  • Regular bookings are made online by the parent and carers for the same days each week for the whole term.
  • The ‘Superheroes’ service is for families who need emergency childcare or occasional sessions. Superheroes bookings can be made up to 3.00pm on the day(s) required.
  • Free Taster sessions can also be booked so your children can see what the Play Professionals offer.
  • Subsidised places are offered to families on the equivalent of full Universal Credit for one session per week. 
  • The Play Professionals accept a variety of payment options that effectively reduce the overall cost of childcare for parents and families including Childcare Voucher companies and the government’s Childcare Choices scheme. Parents are also able to spread payments for regular bookings over instalments. 

Breakfast Club

The Healthy Start Breakfast Club is available to all pupils, from Reception to Year 6, from 7.30am until 8.35am and is £6.00 a day / £30.00 per week.  

Afterschool Care

The After School Club is open from 3.30pm until 6.00pm, Monday to Friday for all pupils, the cost is £16.00 a day / £80.00 per week.

RA After School Activities

We also run a range of afterschool clubs to appeal to a wide range of interests.

After School Clubs usually run from 3.30pm until 4.45pm, although please check the times for individual clubs when booking. After School Clubs are currently charged at £4.50 per session

Letters are sent out at the end of every half term inviting applications for the following half term.
